2023 Decarbonization Conference for the Built Environment
October 25–27, 2023
Renaissance Arlington Capital View
Washington D.C. Metro Area
The Decarbonization Conference for the Built Environment will be an information and idea exchange, between stakeholders in the built environment industry, concerning the timely and important topic of reducing carbon emissions from buildings. The goal is to discuss the design, construction, ownership, and operation of facilities targeted for reduced or neutral impact on the environment with respect to carbon footprint. A primary objective of the conference is to enhance the knowledge base in North America on decarbonization efforts.
The conference is organized by ASHRAE, AIA, APPA, BOMA, and IFMA.
The conference will focus on educating attendees on methods to decrease carbon emissions, both embodied and operational, to reduce the impact of buildings on the climate crises. The conference program will address current and future governmental policies and regulations for which engineers, architects, owners, and operators need to be aware of to address environmentally-responsible building requirements.
“The goal of this conference is to bring persons who work in all aspects of building design, construction, operation, ownership and management into the same room to address how the building industry as a whole can improve the impact buildings have on the global climate crises,” said ASHRAE President-Elect Ginger Scoggins. “Since building design, construction and operation contribute close to 40% of total global emissions of carbon, it is imperative that we all work together to develop a path forward to address our impact”.

Frequently Asked Questions
While we are here to always answer the phone and your questions, we’ve compiled a list of top “asks” for your information:
Can I pick up a part very early in the morning or very late at night?
Yes. If you pre-arrange for a pick up at our lock-up box located just outside our will call counter in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This box will be locked with a combination code; this code will be given to you when you arrange the pick up.
Can I have a part delivered on the same day?
Depending on the time of transaction, we can arrange with Quick Delivery Service Inc. to deliver that same morning or afternoon. We often deliver direct to service technicians on the job site.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you can, as long as the part has not been manufactured by the vendor or shipped. If the order has already been sent to the vendor, we will attempt to cancel the order but cannot guarantee that the cancellation will be possible. If we cannot cancel the order, there may be a re-stocking charge. If you do receive an order that was canceled, please accept delivery of the item and contact our parts department for return instructions.
How are shipping charges determined?
Shipping charges will vary, according to the product type and destination. All big ticket items are shipped F.O.B. factory and are generally shipped common carrier or private carrier and require higher shipping rates. Most parts are shipped via UPS (because they offer package insurance and excellent tracking software). Sometimes items require express shipping; in most cases this rapid delivery requires an additional fee.
